My work experience includes working in the conservation, water governance issues and largely engages in policy and legislative processes. I have had a marked career on general environmental programmes and especially Conservation, Climate Change, Water resource management and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) with a passion for sustainable and equitable natural resources for human and environmental use. I have also been an advocate for the empowerment of community in Kwale through a collaboration effort with WWF- Kenya, Kwale office for the last 7 years.
I have worked in close relation of the various organizations, from both County and National Government to private sector, different NGOs and INGOs, Kenya Forestry Working Group, Water Thematic Group and the Kenya Climate Change Working Group. Through this collaboration, I have developed a unique understanding of local challenges, barriers to implementation and sustainability, and the effectiveness of community based solutions to different natural resources problemsIndian Ocean
