Activities

For the sustainable development of our oceans, stakeholders from business, science and society from a wide range of disciplines must pull together. This is where the German Ocean Foundation, founded in 2015, comes in. The foundation sees itself as a moderator in the interdisciplinary dialogue between those responsible for environmental policy, the raw materials and energy industries, science and education, nature conservation and culture, as well as shipping, fishing, tourism and sport on the sustainable economic use of the oceans. The German Ocean Foundation is a non-profit foundation. It initiates its own projects and campaigns, acts as a point of contact on ocean issues and promotes the transfer of comprehensive knowledge about the use and protection of the oceans. The mission: From knowledge to action!
